Pint and a Play
Next meeting Wednesday 15th Oct
Heathfield Community Centre 7:30pm
'Pint and a Play' is first and foremost a social thing. A group of us meets once a month to read prose - it could be plays, poems, stories - whatever people bring.
Pint and a Play has also been really useful as a test bed for new material - plays that we might use in a full-scale production (Never Mind The Butler Oct 2023 began its life at a Pint and Play evening).
If you're interested in joining us, use the contact details on the main home page (there's a link at the top of the page) or use the contact details provided in the footer. The evening is free for members, but is also free for a month to non-members. We hope that you'll decide to join us on a longer term basis - subscriptions are only £24/yr and membership entitles you to free access to all of our workshops and get-togethers.

Improvisation
Not everyone enjoys reading plays, never mind reading them aloud in front of others! To that end, we also have improvisation evenings where we go completely 'off-script' and simply make it up as we go along.

Play readings
Not everyone is comfortable 'treading the boards' and yet they like the idea of reading a play where they hear all of the different voices. To that end, some of our evenings (7.30pm-9pm) will be spent sat around a table reading plays.
It all looks very serious - and it is! - but we have a lot of fun, and when we find a play that we like, the possibilities are endless.
